Match Preview: Chile vs. Paraguay

This match is very important, especially for Chile. The Chileans have lost to the 2 top South American teams in the World Cup Qualifying tournament (Uruguay and Argentina). If they lose today you may wonder, are the Chileans prepared to dethrone the likes of Argentina, Brazil or Paraguay. Here's what they need to do. Both teams are fast, expect a high tempo game, yet expect Paraguay to control the midfield for the start of the game, with Cristian Riveros leading the way. Around 30 minutes Chile will need to settle in with the absence of Arturo Vidal and start controlling the game. What Chile needs to do is play wide to their wingers. They will not be able to pass their way through the center. The one thing Chile needs though that is out of their control is Alexis Sanchez. He was injured against Uruguay and if he's injured today I do not expect the Chileans to win. Without Alexis Sanchez, I expect a tie or a loss for Chile. Remember this is a Paraguay team that not only made it to a World Cup quarterfinal, they also made it to a Copa America final.
